Roof Mounted Fans

Roof Mounted Fans

Greenheck’s roof mounted fans: Select from a wide range of fan and ventilator products for commercial, institutional and industrial roof installations. There are products for exhaust, supply, recirculate, filtered, process and gravity applications. These products use two styles of fans —direct drive, used where maintenance access is difficult, or belt drive, which allows adjustment of fan speed for system balancing.

CENTRIFUGAL DOWNBLAST EXHAUST FANS: Roof-mounted centrifugal downblast exhaust fans include direct- and belt-driven fans. These models have backward-inclined centrifugal wheels. These fans are suitable for applications exhausting relatively clean air.

Certifications:
  • High Wind and Hurricane
  • Seismic
  • UL/cUL 705
  • AMCA licensed for FEI & Air Performance
  • UL/cUL 705 Listed – Supplement SD – “Power Ventilators for Smoke Control Systems” (Formerly UL Smoke)

MIXED FLOW-UPBLAST EXHAUST FANS: Mixed flow upblast fans are best in ventilation applications requiring low sound and high efficiency. Roof-mounted models discharge clean air or fume exhaust up and away from the building.

Model QEID Upblast is a direct drive mixed flow fan standard with curb cap for quick mounting to a roof curb, butterfly dampers to prevent rain penetration and windband to keep the damper blades closed when not in operation. The QEID Upblast effectively removes clean air out and away from the building. It has higher efficiency operation than a belt drive fan and less maintenance by elimating belts, pulleys and fan shaft bearings. Available with factory programmed VFD for easy adjustment and control.

Certifications:
  • ULcUL Listed for Electrical (UL/cUL-705) and Power Ventilators for Smoke Control
  • AMCA licensed for FEI, Air & Sound Performance

CENTRIFUGAL UPBLAST EXHAUST FANS: The centrifugal roof-mounted upblast exhaust fans include both direct and belt drive options with efficient backward-inclined centrifugal wheels and aerodynamic inlet cone minimizing system effects. The motors on the fans are out of the airstream. These fans are suitable for applications ranging from a storage room to fume hood exhaust and kitchen grease exhaust to smoke control.

Model CUE is a direct drive fan designed for roof or wall mounting, where the exhaust air is directed away from the mounting surface. Constructed of a single piece, continuously welded housing, this fan is used for exhausting contaminated or grease-laden air.
Certifications:
  • High Temp
  • High Wind and Hurricane
  • Seismic
  • UL/cUL 705
  • AMCA licensed for FEI & Air Performance
  • UL/cUL 705 Listed – Supplement SC – “Power Ventilators for Restaurant Exh. Appliances” (Formerly UL 762)

AXIAL UPBLAST EXHAUST FANS: Axial fans are a cost-effective option for low to medium pressure applications. Roof-mounted models are designed to discharge clean air or fume exhaust up and away from the building. Typical uses are industrial space, warehouses, fume exhaust, and paint booth exhaust. Models are available in spark resistance construction, emergency smoke or continuous high-temperature exhaust. Select from direct and belt drive fans with cast aluminum or fabricated steel blades based upon application requirements.

Model RDU is a direct drive, roof mount axial fan suitable for general clean air exhaust applications where the unit exhausts air up and away from the roof surface. Units feature a steel housing, with a cast aluminum propeller.

Certifications:
  • UL/cUL 705
  • AMCA licensed for FEI, Air & Sound Performance

AX ROOF MOUNTED: The AX roof-mounted is an expanded capacity direct drive axial exhaust model. This model has cast aluminum blades and hub assembly, heavy gauge spun curb cap to reduce inlet losses, a butterfly damper section for backflow prevention, and a windband section to protect the butterfly dampers from debris. Typical applications include clean air, fume exhaust, and spark resistant construction.

Certifications:
  • UL/cUL Listed for Electrical (UL/cUL-705) and Power Ventilators for Smoke Control
  • AMCA licensed for FEI & Air Performance

MIXED FLOW SUPPLY FANS: Mixed flow rooftop supply fans can be used for a variety of commercial and industrial applications. Fans are designed for clean untempered air applications and feature a unique wheel designed to excel in applications where low sound is critical. Greenheck’s mixed flow fans are more efficient than comparably sized centrifugal and axial impeller fans, reducing the required motor horsepower and lowering operating costs.

Model KSQ is a direct drive, filtered supply fan designed to provide non-tempered make-up air in commercial and industrial applications where efficiency, sound and cost are a major focus. The KSQ is ideal for cost sensitive applications where heating and cooling are not required. Units feature a mixed flow wheel, galvanized steel housing and various configurations of intake hoods and discharges.

Certifications:

  • High Wind Rated available on select sizes and configurations
  • UL/cUL 705
  • AMCA licensed for FEI, Air & Sound Performance

Model RSQ is a direct-driven mixed flow supply hooded rooftop fan that features rigid construction, ease of service, high efficiency, and low sound levels. Fans are available in twelve sizes and feature a hinged fabra hood and optional 1-inch washable aluminum filters. These units feature a weather resistant galvanized steel housing and offer various configurations and accessories.

Certifications:

  • High Wind Rated available on select sizes and configurations
  • UL/cUL 705
  • AMCA licensed for FEI, Air & Sound Performance

HOODED AXIAL REVERSIBLE FANS: Hooded propeller reversible roof fans include both direct- and belt-driven fans designed to move air in both exhaust and supply modes for clean air applications. Typical applications are factories and warehouses.

Model RPDR, a direct drive, roof-mounted reversing axial fan, moves air in both exhaust and supply modes. These fans feature cast aluminum airfoil blade propellers and a fabra hood-style housing constructed of steel or aluminum.

Certifications:

Seismic Rated available on select sizes and configurations

The RPDRF is a direct drive, roof mount, filtered reversing fan designed to move air in both exhaust and supply modes. The units feature cast aluminum airfoil blade propellers and an aluminum or steel fabra hood-style housing.
